Check out our new publications!

Would you like to know more about cell-surface mimics and the biophysical approaches we typically use in our research? In collaboration with researchers in Gothenburg, Berlin, and Kanpur we have recently published a review article showcasing the various bioanalytical assays that can be employed to study virus-membrane interactions! We hope others will be inspired to use these new approaches in combination with more traditional methods to improve their understanding of their favorite virus.

Also, congratulations to Yara whose work was recently published in Cells. In this work, directed by our collaborator Gisa Gerold, we investigate the role of the Phosphatidylserine Receptor TIM-1 in enhancing Chikungunya virus entry. Yara took advantage of her newly developed methodology for single virus tracking on live cells to look at the influence of TIM-1 on virus diffusion at the cell surface. She acquired the data in the BSL-3 lab in Hannover, during a visit to Gisa’s lab.
