Lauriane Scherrer joined our lab this April. She is an Erasmus student from the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris, France. After quarantining she was happy to start her work on her project together with Dario using SPR and TIRF. She will be using these techniques to investigate and compare the molecular interaction between heparan sulfate and the spike protein of SARS and SARS2. Besides her work in the lab, we hope she can use her stay in Umeå to discover the beautiful Swedish nature. As she is staying until August, she has definitely picked the right season for that.
