This summer Erik Birring is joining our lab thanks to the Forskaraspirant stipend that he obtained. This fellowship is awarded by the medical faculty of Umeå University to give medical students the opportunity to get hands-on experience with science early on. Therefore, Erik will work with us during this and next summer and probably a bit during the year when his study schedule allows it. He will work together with Fouzia and Chloe and will thus have the chance to learn different methods. We are excited to welcome him and see how he will like the research environment.
For now, he already integrated well into the group and organized a typical Swedish midsummer party. That is indeed a very nice start.
